By Aaron Humes: A female resident of the Hollywood area of Lords’ Bank village, Belize District, reported being held up on Wednesday evening.
According to police, the woman said that while walking home on Hollywood Drive, she was approached by a dark-skinned man in a black hoodie and black short pants, riding a bicycle. He pointed a black firearm at her and demanded that she hand over her belongings.
The complainant said she fled in fear to a neighbor’s house seeking help. Police arrived shortly thereafter and have taken her to give her statement at Ladyville Police Station as their investigation gets underway.
