The match lived up to its billing as the season’s most anticipated showdown, with both teams entering the field backed by months of preparation, community support, and the hunger for the $4,000 grand prize.
Greg Banner (#6) Strikes in the 1st Half
The decisive moment arrived in the first half, when Libertad’s #6, Greg Banner, broke the deadlock with a composed finish that sent the Libertad supporters into celebration. His strike stood as the match‑winner and ultimately secured the championship.
San Andres Miss a Golden Chance
San Andres FC had a clear opportunity to tie the match when they were awarded a penalty kick later in the second half. But Marlon Figueroa smothered Ian Daniels’ shot, leaving Libertad’s narrow lead intact and proving to be the turning point that sealed the outcome.
