Lemonal resident granted bail in sexual assault case

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Tyrone Arnold, a 27-year-old resident of Lemonal Village, is out on bail after being accused of sexually assaulting a 19-year-old woman. Arnold appeared in Court #5 today, where he was charged with the alleged assault that took place on May 5, 2024.

The court heard that Arnold allegedly grabbed the victim’s hand and made inappropriate comments, offering money for sexual favors. The victim, feeling insulted and fearful, reported the incident, leading to Arnold’s arrest.

Arnold pleaded not guilty and was granted bail of $5,000 with surety. His next court appearance is scheduled for July 15, 2024. The victim reported that the incident occurred at her home after Arnold, who had been socializing with her family, followed her and made unwanted advances.
