By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A fatal road traffic accident on the Hummingbird Highway has claimed the life of a driver, identified as Lazaro Eliseo Alonzo.
The crash occurred on Wednesday on the Hummingbird Highway, near Agua Viva village, in the area of mile 48. According to initial reports, Alonzo lost control of the vehicle he was driving and was ejected through the passenger window, landing on the pavement. He suffered injuries from which he did not recover.
Police responded to the scene, and an investigation into the circumstances of the crash is ongoing. The exact cause of the accident is yet to be officially determined.
