The Office of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Public Utilities, Energy, Logistics and E-Governance and the Ministry of Public Service, Constitutional and Political Reform and Religious Affairs are proud to announce the launch of the new Digital Duty Leave Component on the expanding MyGoB Government HR Platform.
This milestone marks a significant enhancement to the government’s human resource management system, providing public officers with a seamless and efficient way to apply for duty leave online in addition to sick leave, long leave and short leave. The new Digital Duty Leave process integrates application submissions, recommendations, approvals, and financial execution notifications—creating a more transparent and streamlined workflow for public officers.
This progressive initiative is a joint venture driven by the Office of the Prime Minister, executed by the Ministry of Public Utilities, Energy, Logistics and E-Governance through the E-Governance and Digitalization Department, and supported by the Ministry of Public Service, Constitutional and Political Reform and Religious Affairs. It reflects a concerted effort to modernize government operations, making them more efficient, responsive, and accessible to all public officers.
The MyGoB Platform is a key component of the National Digital Agenda 2022-2025, which is the Government of Belize’s roadmap to transform government services and the country into a fully digital society. This comprehensive strategy is designed to create an integrated, digital-first public service platform that enables better service delivery, reduces administrative burdens, and enhances the overall experience for all users.
What’s New:
- Fully Digital Duty Leave Process: Public officers can now submit duty leave applications online, allowing the recommendations and approval stages to occur online, all managed within the MyGoB platform.
- Automated Workflow: Notifications are sent in real-time to relevant users, allowing for faster decision-making, while public officers receive timely updates on the status of their applications.
- Financial Execution Notifications: The integration of financial officers ensures that approved duty leave applications payments are executed faster. Applicants are notified once payment has been made towards their approved Duty Leave Application.
