By Horace Palacio: Police are investigating a shooting incident that took place last night in Santa Elena Town, Cayo District. The victim, Alfonso Diaz, was reportedly shot in the thigh and had to be rushed to emergency medical care.
The incident occurred sometime Wednesday night under circumstances that are still unclear. Diaz’s condition has not yet been officially updated, but sources say he was alert when transported for treatment.
At this time, no suspects have been publicly named and no one has been arrested.
Police are urging witnesses or anyone with relevant information to contact them as investigations continue.
