By Breaking Belize News Staff: A 22-year-old tire shop employee from Ladyville has been fined after pleading guilty to possession of crack cocaine, despite the amount being so small it couldn’t register on police scales.

Anderson Trapp, a resident of the Spanish Town area in Lords Bank, Ladyville Village, appeared before a Senior Magistrate in Court #2 last Friday to face a single charge of possession of an undetermined amount of crack cocaine.

Upon pleading guilty, Trapp candidly told the court, “Deh ting weh deh fine on me I nuh do it everyday dah just on weekends and holidays.” He explained that he had forgotten the small amount of crack cocaine in his pants.

Given his guilty plea, the Senior Magistrate imposed a non-custodial sentence, fining Trapp $200 plus $5.00 in court costs. He has until January 30, 2025, to pay the fine, or face two months imprisonment.
