By Zoila Palma: The Ministry of Rural Transformation, Community Development, Labour and Local Government, through its Labour Department, recently held an educational session with the Human Resources and Operations teams of Transparent BPO and Alta Resources Call Center in Belize City.
The session focused on upholding workplace standards and promoting a culture of fairness and compliance within the business process outsourcing (BPO) sector.
During the engagement, Labour Officers provided detailed guidance on key areas such as Belize’s labour laws, employee rights, work ethics, and the official code of conduct.
The session aimed to strengthen participants’ understanding of legal responsibilities and best practices in maintaining a respectful and equitable work environment.
According to the Ministry, both Transparent BPO and Alta Resources demonstrated their commitment to professional excellence and employee welfare by investing in this specialized training.
