Labor Day is traditionally marked by speeches and community events, though in recent years many have also chosen to spend the day relaxing with family or reflecting on the contributions of Belize’s working class. It is a day to celebrate workers in every field—teachers, farmers, public servants, health professionals, artisans, and laborers—who keep the nation running.
