LA Sweat’s Kaya Cattouse wins 5th Krem’s New Year’s Day Cycling Classic

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: LA Sweat’s Kaya Cattouse won her 5th Krem’s New Year’s Day Cycling Classic as she took the 33rd edition of the first race of the 2024 cycling calendar on Monday, January 1, 2024.

Cattouse finished ahead of American Mary Joyce Monton of the Austin Outlaws (2nd) and G-Flow’s Gabrielle Gabourel (3rd) in a sprint.

Griga’s Cycling’s Arielle Gordon was fourth. Gordon was the Junior winner.

Cattouse has now won the New Year’s Classic in 2012, 2016, 2019, 2023, and 2024.

The Women’s race covered 52 miles from Orange Walk Town Hall to Belize City finishing on the Central American Boulevard in Belize City.
