La Placita in Madrid: A Piece of Puerto Rico Blossoms in Madrid

Yesterday (May 30, 2026) El Nuevo Día’s Entertainment section shared an exciting photo gallery of a new spot in the Spanish capital, La Placita, celebrating Puerto Rican culture. The project, coinciding with Bad Bunny’s extensive Spanish concert schedule (part of his “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS World Tour”) is led by Puerto Ricans Lola Montilla and Fiama Morales.

The space “brought together gastronomy, music, art, and Puerto Rican traditions so the diaspora could feel at home and new audiences may discover the island’s culture.” Here are selections from the article, “La Placita en Madrid: un pedazo de Puerto Rico florece en la capital española”; view article and photo gallery at El Nuevo Día.

Content creator Lola Montilla and entrepreneur Fiama Morales spearheaded the La Placita in Madrid initiative, a cultural gathering inspired by Puerto Rican identity.

The initiative is sponsored by Discover Puerto Rico, FRSH, and Valija, and supported by Don Q, Chocolate Cortés, D.O. Rueda, Gustos Coffee Company, El Antillano, and Glam Loft Madrid, with Gain Solutions as a strategic partner for the project.
