By Aaron Humes: A 28-year-old man was shot and killed near Constitution Park in Belize City earlier today, Saturday, January 10. The victim, identified as Kyrone Dowaine Armstrong, also known as “Blacka”, was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the security booth inside the park.
According to police reports, Armstrong was approached by a man wearing a helmet who fired several shots at him, fatally injuring him. He was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) where he was pronounced dead at 1:14 p.m.
The police investigation is ongoing, with no persons of interest identified at this time.
Armstrong’s body has been taken to the KHMH morgue for a post-mortem examination. The police are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist with the investigation.
