K’iinich Ahau leading World Champions Ek’ Balam Belize 24-15 at the half in Pok-Ta-Pok World Cup semifinals

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The two Belizean teams, Ek’ Balam Belize and K’iinich Ahau, are facing each other in the Pok-Ta-Pok World Cup semifinals on Sunday at the Orange Walk Multi-Purpose Complex.

K’iinich Ahau leads 24-15 at the half threatening to topple the defending Pok-Ta-Pok Defending World Champions.

The winner will face Mexico Black in the Final.

Earlier Mexico Black defeated Mexico White 58-20 in the first semifinal.

The Women’s K’iinich Ahau team is playing for third place.
