By Breaking Belize News Staff: Things have gotten ugly for the man who allegedly robbed Mr. Handsome last week and threw a beer bottle at an on-duty security guard.
Twenty-year-old Kenroy Locario, son of a recently retired police officer, has been sentenced to three months and three weeks in prison after pleading guilty to harm and throwing missiles in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
Locario, who appeared unrepresented before Magistrate Mannon Dennison, admitted that on Tuesday, August 26, he punched a 52-year-old security officer in the face and later hurled a Belikin beer bottle in her direction. The woman reported that she was on duty along Central American Boulevard when she was attacked.
Magistrate Dennison ordered that the two sentences run consecutively, meaning Locario will serve a total of three months and two weeks behind bars. The court noted that Locario is not a first-time offender, recalling a 2024 conviction for harm where he was fined $505.
Locario told the court he was “kind of high” on the night of the incident and did not fully recall what happened. He admitted striking Williams but claimed it was not intentional.
But this conviction is just the beginning of his legal troubles. Police have since linked Locario to the weekend robbery of well-known internet senation ‘Mr. Handsome’ in Orange Walk. At 2:37 p.m. on Wednesday, Crimes Investigation Branch officers served him with two additional charges—attempted murder and mischievous act—in connection with that case.
Locario is expected to be removed from the Belize Central Prison to face arraignment in the Orange Walk Magistrate’s Court sometime next week.
