By Breaking Belize News Staff: Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident that claimed the life of 28-year-old Karel Gentle of Belize City on Sunday night, October 25, 2026.
According to ASP Stacy Smith, the incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. while Gentle was riding a motorcycle from Ladyville toward Belize City.
Police say that upon crossing a pedestrian ramp near Mile 4 on the Philip Goldson Highway, Gentle reportedly lost control of the motorcycle and collided with a lamppost.
He was transported to the hospital for emergency medical treatment but succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.
The circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation.
