Celebrate Coastal Awareness Week with a Fun Run/Walk

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Coastal Zone Management Authority & Institute is holding the annual Run for the Coast event at 6:00 am on Saturday, October 26 in Belize City. This event is a highlight of Coastal Awareness Week 2024, celebrating its 10th year of promoting coastal conservation and community engagement.
Participants of all ages and fitness levels are invited to join this vibrant community event. Whether you’re a competitive runner or a casual walker, there’s a place for you. The route begins at Digi Park, leading to the Baron Bliss Lighthouse and back.
Registration for Just for Fun participants opens at 5:30 am. Competitive runners register at TotalTimeBZ.com. Attractive prizes await winners in various categories, including male, female, senior citizens, and youth. The first 35 registered participants received a free entry, with a nominal fee of $10 for those registering afterward.
