By Aaron Humes: The body of a man found floating near the San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi parking lot on Labour Day Friday morning remains unidentified, police say.
Around 8:20 a.m., police went to the area and observed the lifeless body of a dark-complexioned middle-aged man, who was face down in the water. Investigations revealed that a concerned citizen who was travelling in a boat from Belize City out to sea, saw the body floating and notified the security at the parking lot, who thereafter contacted police.
The body of John Doe was retrieved, where it was observed that his entire face was swollen, and a small cut wound was behind the right ear. The body of John Doe was transported to the KHMH morgue, where it now awaits a post-mortem examination.
