By Breaking Belize News Staff: The Belize Agricultural Health Authority (BAHA) has announced a vacancy for the position of Accounts Payable Clerk at its Headquarters in Belmopan. The position is open to qualified individuals with an Associate Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a Certified Accounting Technician Certificate, along with at least two years of experience in accounts payable.
According to the job advertisement, BAHA is seeking a highly motivated team player who demonstrates strong work ethics, integrity, and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English, working knowledge of Spanish, proficiency in Microsoft 365, and experience with QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions are key competencies required for the role. Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and strong time management and reporting skills are also essential.
The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for processing day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring that BAHA’s invoices and bills are paid accurately and on time, and maintaining compliance with internal financial policies. The position offers a salary under BAHA’s Pay Scale 9, ranging from $17,489.40 to $33,458.52 annually.
