By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A 20 year old man has been detained after three people were injured in an alleged attack in the Black Water Area of Trial Farm Village, Orange Walk District.
Police say a 26 year old domestic reported that on Saturday, October 3, she had invited a 21 year old male friend, a construction worker, to her home for supper. A 16 year old girl who lives at the house was also there.
Her former common law husband arrived, became upset at seeing the friend and accused her of having an affair with him.
The man allegedly tried to punch the friend, then used what appeared to be a broken glass to inflict cuts to the left side of his face and abdomen. The friend fled on his bicycle.
The man is then accused of punching the woman in the face and striking the teenager in the face and abdomen.
The suspect has been detained pending charges.
