By Aaron Humes: In response to the latest announcements of Western states such as Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom that they recognize a State of Palestine, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has decried these recognitions, saying in a social media statement, “You are rewarding terror with an enormous prize… It’s not going to happen. There will be no Palestinian state to the west of the Jordan River.”
Netanyahu takes personal and state credit for preventing a “terror state” from forming “..with determination, and with astute states
manship. Moreover, we have doubled the Jewish settlement in Judea and Samaria, and we will continue on this path.”
He promises a response after returning from the U.S. where he is attending the United Nations General Assembly.
Belize has broken off diplomatic relations with Israel and this week welcomed the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to open diplomatic relations.
