By Zoila Palma: Today, the U.S. Embassy in Havana, Cuba issued an alert as the Cuban regime called for a demonstration today in the plaza in front of the U.S. Embassy.
“Streets in the neighborhood surrounding the Embassy may be closed to vehicular traffic.
U.S. citizens are reminded to avoid areas near protests.
Even peaceful protests and large gatherings have the potential to become unpredictable without warning,” the U.S. Embassy said.
The U.S. Embassy said that all consular appointments will be rescheduled.
