According to the Ministry of Tourism, in 2025 the sector recorded growth of more than 4% in foreign visitors compared to the year before last—an historic achievement that highlights the period of positive transformation the nation is experiencing, drawing global attention.
The millions of tourists received also led to another significant result: more than $3.6 billion in foreign currency, injecting greater dynamism into the economy and strengthening the tourism value chain, which includes airlines, tour operators, hotels, restaurants, transport services, and businesses, with significant participation from micro and small entrepreneurs.
In addition, this was also reflected in visitors’ length of stay, averaging 7.7 nights—one of the longest compared to other destinations in the region.
This is largely due to the variety of locations and diverse activities that position El Salvador as a multi-destination country with major attractions, making each trip a unique experience.
