According to the Independent, over 48 million voters have already cast their ballots, yet national polls indicate a deadlock, with many key electoral votes too close to call.
The latest FiveThirtyEight data shows that Harris holds a narrow 1.4-point lead over Trump.
However, crucial battleground states—Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Nevada—show neither candidate with a definitive advantage. In fact, polling averages reveal candidates are often within just 2 percent of each other.
Voter issues remain centered on the economy, healthcare, and threats to democracy, with immigration also playing a significant role, particularly among Latino voters.
In states traditionally favoring Republicans, Trump leads in Texas and Florida, though margins are narrowing. Republicans are also facing challenges in key Senate races, according to internal memos indicating potential vulnerabilities.
Youth voter engagement is a concern for Harris; while she leads among younger voters, many remain undecided about voting, echoing lower commitment levels compared to previous elections.
As Election Day approaches, the stakes remain high, and both candidates will need to mobilize their supporters to secure victory.
