By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum is yet to congratulate Former President Donald Trump on his victory as the 47th President of the U.S.
According to Reuters, Sheinbaum will wait to formally recognize a winner in the U.S. presidential election until vote tallies are finalized.
President Sheinbaum said that she will wait for official results.
“There will be good relations with the United States,” she said. “I’m convinced of that.”
“There’s no reason to worry. For our compatriots, for Mexican entrepreneurs, there’s no reason to worry. Mexico always comes out ahead,” said Sheinbaum, in her first comments following the U.S. election.
