By Zoila Palma: The European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said that a magnitude 6 earthquake shook Cuba today.
The quake had a depth of 15 km (9.3 miles), EMSC said.
The earthquake occurred 37 kilometers southeast of the municipality of Imías, in Guantánamo province, at approximately 12:28 a.m.
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) also reported a possible aftershock with a magnitude of 4.7 on the Richter scale and an epicenter at a depth of 10 kilometers.
