By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On Sunday, during a rally in Wisconsin, Candidate for Vice President of the United States JD Vance reinforced his Christian faith after Vice President Kamala Harris dismissed pro-life protesters the previous week.
According to Fox News, during Vance’s speech, an attendee shouted “Jesus is King,” prompting Vance to agree and criticize Harris for her “anti-Christian rhetoric.”
Vance, who was baptized in 2019, condemned a recent viral video of Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, who appeared to mock a Christian rite by feeding Doritos to a podcast host.
He asserted that American leaders should respect people’s faith and called for support for religious values.
This discussion follows an incident where Harris told pro-life college students they were “at the wrong rally” when they expressed their beliefs at her event.
One student, Luke Polaske, confirmed that they were addressed directly by Harris before being asked to leave.
Vance emphasized the need for a government that protects religious freedoms and criticized the Biden administration for alienating many faith communities.
Harris’ campaign has not yet responded to requests for comment.
