By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, Iran launched dozens of missiles at Israel claiming the attack was a response to the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. Israeli forces reported intercepting many missiles, although some did land, causing no initial injuries.
According to CNN, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that Iran “made a big mistake” and will face repercussions.
This missile barrage comes as Israel conducts operations against Hamas in Gaza, following the October 7 terrorist attack on southern Israel.
The Iranian military, citing retaliation for Israel’s actions, specifically targeted Israeli military bases near Tel Aviv.
In response, the U.S. government indicated it was prepared to assist Israel’s defense efforts.
This incident heightens fears of a broader regional conflict as world leaders have warned of escalating hostilities involving Iran and its proxies, including Hezbollah and Hamas.
