By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, a terrifying video went viral showing armed gunmen storming the TC television station in Ecuador and threatening journalists.
According to the BBC, the live broadcast by TC in Guayaquil was interrupted this afternoon by the group, who were wearing hoods and carrying guns.
President of Ecuador Daniel Noboa declared a State of Emergency on Monday following the prison break of infamous cartel leader ‘Fito’.
National police units in Quito and Guayaquil have been deployed to the scene.
Since the state of emergency was declared, at least seven police officers have been kidnapped by gang members.
