International News: Fans abuzz with Bob Marley’s grandson YG Marley’s debut song; performs at concert of his legendary mom Lauryn Hill

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Fans on social media are abuzz with the voice of Bob Marley’s grandson, YG Marley who is the son of Legendary artist Lauryn Hill.

YG Marley is the son of Hill and Rohan Marley.

His “Praise Jah in the Moonlight,” debut single has exploded on social media including TikTok where fans are commenting that his voice is similar to his legendary granddad’s.

Luminate reports that the hit is currently exploding at streaming, garnering 1.28 million official on-demand streams during the period of Jan. 12-16.

Last year, Marley performed the hit at several of his mom’s tour stops.

Billboard notes that “Praise Jah” is co-written by Marley and Hill and includes elements of Bob Marely & The Wailers’ “Crisis,” earning the music icon composer and lyricist credits.

All over social media, fans continue to praise the musical lineage of YG Marley and embracing the song’s focus on traditional reggae stylings.
