Riots erupted in 3 prisons in Guatemala as inmates reportedly held 46 workers hostage.
Officials believe that the riots were coordinated by members of the Barrio 18 gangs.
Over social media, Guatemalans are calling for authorities to declare a State of Emergency and to use the military.
Minutes ago, Guatemalan President Bernardo Arevalo says the Guatemalan Military and the Policia Nacional Civil have been mobilized.
Arevalo made a national address this evening concerning all measures being taken.
