By Zoila Palma:  A 35-year-old man has been convicted of fraud after posing as a flight attendant to book over 120 free flights across several major U.S. airlines between 2018 and 2024, federal prosecutors said Tuesday.

According to USA Today, just like the movie “Catch me if you can”, Tiron Alexander used fake employee credentials to access airline crew websites and fly for free on airlines including American, Delta, United, Southwest, and Spirit.

He used at least 30 different badge numbers and claimed affiliation with multiple carriers.

Alexander was charged with wire fraud and unlawfully entering secure airport areas under false pretenses. He was arrested in March, and sentencing is set for August 25.

The case was investigated by the TSA and prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida.
