By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Authorities in Mexico say that the bodies of 5 University students were found inside a vehicle on a dirt road in Guanajuato, Mexico.
According to the Associated Press, on Sunday, the bodies of the 5 young men were found in Celaya.
The area has been in the midst of drug cartel violence.
The Latina University extended condolences and suspended classes on Monday in mourning.
Local reports indicate that the men were shot to death.
Over the years, the Santa Rosa de Lima cartel has engaged in a bloody turf war with the Jalisco cartel for control of Guanajuato.
