International News: AI takeover, Florida homeowner uses ChatGPT to sell property $100K above estimates in 5 days

By Zoila Palma:  A Florida homeowner has turned to artificial intelligence to sell his property, securing a deal that exceeded expectations and closed within days.

Robert Levine used ChatGPT throughout the process, ultimately selling his home in Cooper City for $954,800—approximately $100,000 above estimates provided by real estate agents, Fortune reports.

Levine said the idea emerged during a road trip with his wife, when they began asking the AI questions about selling a home.

What started as a casual exercise evolved into a detailed strategy, with the technology assisting in pricing, marketing, planning, and negotiations.

Levine noted that the AI provided stronger confidence in pricing compared to traditional agents.

The home sold within five days and achieved one of the highest per-square-foot prices in the area, despite lacking standout features such as premium views or extensive upgrades.

Levine credited the AI with guiding key decisions, including suggesting property improvements, recommending repainting, and advising on scheduling showings to maximize interest.

While the AI handled much of the process, Levine remained actively involved, prompting the system at each stage.

He also retained a lawyer for legal matters and acknowledged that the technology could not perform physical tasks such as hosting open houses or preparing the home for sale.
