By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Influencer Benjamin Garcia is leading the charge for a National Clean-Up Day on January 18, 2025, in San Ignacio.
Garcia announced that the initiative has already surpassed its goal of 100 volunteers, with support from community members including Belize Defence Force soldiers, educators, church groups, and youth organizations.
Garcia told Breaking Belize News that 150 community members have signed up to participate in keeping San Ignacio clean.
“I believe our community has many environmentally conscious individuals who are ready to come together for this meaningful initiative,” Garcia said. “Together, we can make a significant impact on our environment and community.”
All necessary supplies, including garbage bags and gloves, will be provided for the clean-up efforts.
