As part of its 34th cycle of Caribbean Conferences—Conferencias Caribeñas 34—the Institute of Caribbean Studies at the University of Puerto Rico-Río Piedras (UPR-RP) invites the academic community and the general public to the lecture “La sangre en tierra: La masacre de haitianos en la República Dominicana en 1937 [Blood on Earth: The massacre of Haitians in the Dominican Republic in 1937] by Dr. Raúl Guadalupe de Jesús (UPR-Bayamón). The commentator for this event will be Dr. Robin Derby (E. Bradford Burns Chair in Latin American Studies, UCLA).
This event will take place on Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 1:00 to 3:30pm in Room 238 of the Ramón Emeterio Betances Building (REB 238), School of Social Sciences, UPR-RP.
