By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Holy Redeemer Credit Union (HRCU) Eagles claimed the title of BDVA Men’s 1st Division Champions after a hard-fought victory against the EA Jr Warriors. The final match, held at the St Catherine Academy Gymnasium on Sunday, October 27, saw the Eagles triumph with a 3-1 win, taking the sets 26-28, 25-21, 25-22, and 25-16.
Francis Usher, the captain of the HRCU Eagles, proudly received the championship trophy, while the EA Jr Warriors secured the second-place position.
In the contest for third place, the SQ Dragons edged out the Jaguars in a thrilling five-set match. The Dragons clinched their victory with scores of 25-20, 22-25, 25-20, 26-28, and 15-13, earning them the third-place trophy in the BDVA Men’s 1st Division.
The SQ Mega Stars won the Women’s competition.
