By Horace Palacio: The Placencia Humane Society (PHS) invites the community to its much-anticipated annual “Chip Inn & Salsa Fundraiser,” scheduled for today, Monday, December 30th, at 2:00 PM at Turtle Inn’s Laughing Fish Beach Bar.
This beloved event supports PHS’s mission to provide essential care and resources for animals in need. Last year’s fundraiser was a resounding success, raising over $92,000 BZD to fund shelter improvements, pet care, and critical veterinary services.
For 2024, PHS has set even higher goals. Proceeds from this year’s event will go towards the purchase of an X-ray machine, an ultrasound machine, and the establishment of a mobile clinic to reach more animals in remote areas.
Tickets are available for $80 BZD, which includes a welcome drink, tapas, and an assortment of chips and salsas. Tickets can be purchased at various locations throughout Placencia, but attendees are encouraged to secure their spots early, as the event is expected to sell out quickly.
