By Breaking Belize News Staff: Wilson Hernandez was shot to death on Sunday morning in Belmopan following an altercation with his common-law wife.
A video circulating on social media shows his common-law wife handing over her licensed weapon to her niece who fatally shot Hernandez.
Hernandez sister took to Facebook to express her sadness and call out his common-law for his death.
“Dalia, this one is for you.
It pains me to the core to know that your selfish actions took the life of my brother, He was my protector. There’s nothing I could ask for that he wouldn’t try to figure out and do for me and you knew that. You knew how much we all loved and cherished him. He was stubborn and strong headed but a loving person, he loved us all even when he gave all of us headache because he’d not do stuff the moment we asked or wasn’t always punctual but you know what ? he always got it done. That was his flaw,” she said.
“Gosh you don’t know the pain we are all feeling because you were doing your own thing out there , you didnt love him.
So many times, I’d see people’s posts mourning for their siblings, and the little anxiety in me would skip past it because I’d never want to imagine their pain. Gosh, Dalia, you made me feel that pain.
I will never, ever be the same again.
I told you to leave Wilson. I told Wilson to leave you. And nothing changed.
You said it with your own mouth: “This relationship won’t end so easy; either your brother kills me or I kill him, but it nah end easy.” Why? Why be so selfish and not leave? You even caused me and my brother to not be as close anymore,” she added.
The sister’s heartbreaking post shared how her brother, Wilson was a humble person, loved by many.
“Ask the good Lord for forgiveness, Dalia. I can tell you this: the Lord will forgive you. But you know who won’t?
My nephews!,” she expressed.
Hernandez’ sister said that this was not self-defense.
“This was something you had planned,” she said.
She also called out a police officer who allegedly went clubbing with Hernandez’ common law.
