By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A post-mortem examination conducted Friday afternoon has officially confirmed the cause of death of one-year-old Peter Wall, a resident of Camp 53 in Indian Creek Village, Orange Walk District.
The autopsy, which took place between 1:00 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. at the Northern Regional Hospital morgue, was witnessed by police officers and Scenes of Crime Technicians. The toddler’s body was formally identified by his uncle, Jacob Wall.
Upon completion of the examination, the certifying medical doctor ruled the cause of death as traumatic brain injury and severe crush injuries to the head. According to medical officials, the injuries are entirely consistent with the child being run over by a motor vehicle.
Police investigations into the exact circumstances surrounding the fatal incident remain active.
