By Zoila Palma: On February 20, 2025, Mayor Bernard Wagner, Sandra Lindo, Mayor for a Day, and Council Members joined Francis Fonseca, Minister of Education, Culture, Science, and Technology, Anthony Mahler and Minister Kareem Musa at the remarkable 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱made𝗯𝘆b𝘇e Exhibit hosted at the Museum of Belizean Art in Belize City.
This cultural development project, organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science, and Technology and the National Institute of Culture and History, aims to create opportunities in the present while honoring and respecting our rich cultural heritage.
The exhibit features the extraordinary work of over 20 Belizean artists, each showcasing their unique artistic expression through a variety of mediums, including stone, writing, soil, fabric, wood, and steel.
From intricate sculptures to vibrant paintings and mixed media works, each piece tells a story deeply rooted in Belize’s culture and history, highlighting the diverse talents within our creative community.
The Belize City Council expressed gratitude and commended the artists and organizers for bringing this inspiring exhibit to life.
