Gwen Lizarraga High School, Wesley College face off in boys-girls CSSSA Football Competition Finals on Wednesday

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Top seeded Gwen Lizarraga High School clash with second seeded Wesley College in the first leg of both the Boys and Girls Central Secondary Schools Sports Association (CSSSA) Football Competition Finals on Wednesday at the Marion Jones Sports Complex in Belize City.

The Gwen Liz play against Wesley at 4:00 pm in the first leg of the Girls Finals. Gwen Liz have the advantage having finished tops in the first round when they beat Wesley 2-0 on January 29 on a brace by Jonel Blease.

The Boys Finals game one between the same two schools follows at 6:00 pm.

On Wednesday, St Catherine Academy took a 3-1 lead over Pallotti High School in the girls third place games. Wesley College did likewise winning 3-1 over St John’s College in the Boys Competition.

The return matches in both the Third Place games and the Finals will be played on Saturday
