By Jose Luis Cruz: A 9mm Ruger-brand pistol with one magazine containing seven 9mm rounds and a number of other valuable items were stolen from a prominent attorney from a residence in Belama Phase I over the weekend.
Following a report of the break-in made by the victim, Northside CIB personnel visited the residence on Tuesday, April 22nd.
According to the report, the burglary occurred sometime between 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 19 and the time it was discovered on April 22. The complainant reported that unknown individuals gained entry into the residence through a bathroom window located on the southern side of the second floor.
Apart from the pistol, other items stolen from the home include a blue school bag, a set of jewelry, a pair of earrings, a Samsung Galaxy Ao4e cellphone and some cash. The total value of the items stolen is estimated to be $2,375 BZD.
A Scenes of Crime Technician processed the scene, and surveillance footage was successfully retrieved and is currently under review as part of the investigation.
No suspects have been detained at this time.
