By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Powered by Guinness Boom to the City Canoe Race set for Sunday, February 25 will be held this Sunday, February 25.
The canoe race, held under the Belize Canoe Association, starts at Riverside Park in Burrell Boom at 10:00 am and heads to Belize City via the Belize River.
The race finishes at The Tavern.
Teams have up to 9:00 am on race day to sign up. Team registration costs $100.00
Last year, Team PACT comprising Olympian Amado Cruz, Daniel Cruz Sr, and Jerry Cante captured the Boom to the City Race in two hours, 37 minutes, and 15 seconds (2:37:15).
