By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A 19 year old construction worker of Guinea Grass Village has been charged with harm after two people were struck by stones on Friday night.
According to the report, a 44 year old domestic was at home around 8pm when she walked outside and saw her nephew chasing her son in law and throwing large rocks at him. The younger man ran into her yard.
She told police her nephew shouted a death threat at her in Spanish before throwing a stone that struck her left hand. Another stone hit her son in law on his left knee.
She said the man appeared to be under the influence of drink or drugs. Although it was night, both she and her son in law said they saw him clearly because of a lamppost in front of the house.
Police visited the wanted man’s residence the following evening, where he attempted to escape through a back door before being apprehended.
Jelsner Justin Itzab was formally arrested and charged on Monday. He was cautioned and chose to remain silent.
