By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Police are investigating a burglary reported in Trial Farm Village, Orange Walk District.
According to reports, a 65 year old welder stated that around 8:00 am on April 18, he was at home watching television when he heard a noise coming from the back of his residence.
Upon checking, he reportedly saw a Hispanic male exiting his garage carrying a black object. He then went to the front of his house where he intercepted the individual.
The suspect was identified as his grandson.
Police say the individual dropped a roll of electrical wire and fled the scene by jumping over a fence.
The stolen item, a roll of electric cable, was recovered. No property was reported damaged.
Investigations are ongoing.
