By Zoila Palma: Today, a Memorandum from the Manager of the Assets and Utilities Management Unit Ashton Longsworth reiterated that vehicles being used for election duties must have a sign on the dashboard clearly identifying the vehicle as “Official”.
In addition, all Government of Belize vehicles are to be parked unless being used in an official capacity by public officers working their election duties.
The memo says that officers must ensure that all protocols are being adhered to in line with the Government of Belize Vehicle Policy.
Government vehicles should NOT be used to transport voters to and from polling stations.”
