By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): The Office of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Investment, through the Investment Policy and Compliance Unit (IPCU) and in partnership with the Belize BPO Association, have officially opened applications for training in higher-tier global digital services skills.
The programme, funded by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), is part of the Economic Growth in the Caribbean initiative, which aims to stimulate private investment through innovative projects across Latin America and the Caribbean.
The training will run from November 12 to December 19, 2025, with 50 spaces available for Belizeans nationwide. Participants will gain valuable skills aligned with the Global Digital Services (GDS) industry’s evolving needs.
Training will be offered in a hybrid format, including weekly evening virtual sessions and a five-day, in-person bootcamp in Belize City from November 24 to 28, 2025. The programme will be managed via a Learning Management System to ensure flexible participation.
Courses are available at entry, intermediate, and advanced levels, with topics such as cloud engineering, cybersecurity, data analytics, IT helpdesk support, AI readiness, web development, agile project management, and digital marketing.
The training is completely free and open to BPO professionals as well as students from high schools, junior colleges, and universities. Training partners include Rhics Ltd. (UK), Chamberlain Consulting Ltd., and Socias Ltd. (Belize).

to create an account, complete the online assessment, and be matched with a suitable learning track. The Ministry advises interested individuals to apply early due to limited space.
This initiative represents a major step toward building Belize’s digital workforce and expanding opportunities in the country’s growing technology and outsourcing sectors.
