Following a successful launch in southern Belize, the Government of Belize and the Taiwan Technical Mission are expanding the Vanilla Training for Women and Girls program to the Cayo District.
This initiative equips women and girls in Belmopan and surrounding communities with the skills to cultivate and harvest vanilla, creating sustainable income opportunities.
The Western Region Youth Training Center will serve as the training hub in the Cayo District, providing hands-on experience and vanilla cuttings for cultivation.
Key partners, including the Office of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Investment, and the National Women’s Commission, are working to expand the program’s reach and impact.
