By Zoila Palma: The Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing (MIDH) has completed the Highland Estates housing project, delivering 50 starter homes for low-income families through the Highlands Estates project, Minister Julius Espat said during his budget presentation.
The BZ$2.7 million initiative, funded with support from the Government of the Taiwan included the development of approximately 15 acres of land.
Works carried out by the ministry included the construction of access roads, installation of drainage culverts, and development of earthen drains to support the new housing community.
Minister Espat said that utilities were also extended to the area, ensuring that residents have access to essential services as part of the government’s housing programme.
