By Breaking Belize News Staff: A Belize Defence Force soldier was arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on Monday on a charge of card theft.

Keafer Henry, 33, of Lords Bank, Ladyville, appeared unrepresented before Magistrate Neeshad Mohammed in Court #5, where he was read a single charge of theft.

Allegations are that on May 17, 2026, in Ladyville, Henry took possession of an Atlantic Bank debit card belonging to a woman and used it to conduct transactions at the 24/7 Gas Station amounting to $100.

Henry pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The prosecutor, a sergeant, had no objection to bail, and Magistrate Mohammed offered Henry bail in the sum of $1,000 plus one surety of the same amount. No conditions were attached to his bail, which he was able to meet by the end of the day.

Henry is due back in court on August 3, 2026, when disclosure is expected to be provided in the matter.
